GRSi Debuts on Inc 500|5000 List as One of the Fastest Growing Companies in the Country

August 2011, Inc. magazine today ranked GRSi on its annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs.  GRSi joins the ranks of Spirit Airlines, Vizio, and Dunkin Donuts, among other prominent companies featured on this year’s list.

In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2011 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 94 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year.

GRSi debuted with strong rankings, as follows:

-Top 100 job creators in the country (ranked #32)

-Top 100 companies in the DC Metro Area

            -Top 50 Maryland-Based companies

-And, the 38th fastest growing engineering private company in the country!

“We’re thrilled to have been ranked so strongly and to be on a list with these other robust organizations.  Most of all, we’re proud of our employees, it’s through their remarkable accomplishments that GRSi forges its future.  Rankings like these are the product of hard work, dedication, and drive … the ingredients of which our employees and company are built,” stated GRSi president and co-owner, David Affeldt.

Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/5000.

"Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward.  Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is,” says Inc. magazine Editor Jane Berentson.
