The Information Technology (IT) Schedule 70 was established by GSA to assist federal government agencies with their procurement of IT products, services, and solutions as needed to meet their agency IT missions. This Multiple Award Schedule grants agencies direct access to the commercial experts who can thoroughly address the needs of the government IT community through 14 Special Item Numbers (SINs).

Section 211 of the E-Government Act of 2002, authorized the Cooperative Purchasing Program which allows state and local government agencies to purchase many IT product and service items from Schedule 70.

The IT Schedule allows for choice, flexibility, ease of use, and access to quality businesses in the IT arena from small businesses to the industry giants.
