GRSi provides architecture, engineering, development, and integration services for varied client missions. These include science and research, military, space support, and health research and treatment.  Our services range from Business Case Analysis and Capital Planning, to applications and database management – including enterprise tiered integration, such as Service Oriented Architecture.

Samples of our service provision include:

  • For the Department of Navy, our team devised a means to collect and analyze financial/budget data related to existing IT investments, which was not readily available yet crucial to a sound financial analysis of the migration projects. We developed BCA methodologies for FAMs to apply to their migration projects, taking into account such factors as financial value, mission/strategic value and risk assessment in accordance with commercial/government best practices, and also developed ROI analysis guidelines.  GRSi staff held meetings and seminars with FAMs to make inquiries, obtain feedback, and provide training/information on various issues. We developed training and briefing tools for the client, including web-based materials. We assisted in formulating a methodology to give DON the means to better define, refine and comprehend its business process taxonomies, and to map such business processes to DON infrastructure and architecture. GRS developed and helped implement IT investment prioritization strategies in accordance with DON/DoD initiatives and commercial/government best practices. We assisted in implementing a performance metric plan for collecting and analyzing portfolio-tracking data, with an associated decision support tool. And, we helped establish a standardized framework for cross-FAM business case processes and portfolio management, as well as for enterprise acquisition oversight and integration in accordance with DoD- and Office of Management and Budget (OMB)-level policies.

  • GRSi supports the Army’s Medical Communications for Combat Care (MC4) program, which automates and links ten Army Medical Department operation systems, enhances digital communications, and promotes medical situational awareness to command and control. Through seamless System Integration and use of COTS/GOTS technologies, we have helped to build the bridge between healthcare providers, medical diagnostic systems, and information command and control (C2).  Primary commercial applications supported include Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft HRMS, Oracle Database, and MRO Maximo.  Developed applications include data warehousing, timekeeping, and resource planning systems with thousands of users.  Additionally, design and development are provided for the spectrum of Oracle products, VBA/Excel, Unix/Linux, XML, and Java.  Enterprise content management in OpenText LiveLink is managed in a Unix environment.  Full database administration is provided for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.  Change and Applications Testing are performed in GRSI’s Systems Evaluation Laboratory before implementation.
